The aim of the ideas competition is to encourage participants to work on the concepts of their collaborative project ideas and to submit the outcomes as project proposals for further development. The competition is to be launched at the end of the Consultation Forum and participants are to have four months to develop and submit their project proposals. Project proposals can be submitted in Russian or English. The independent jury is to include experts from NABU and its project partners – institutions from all three sectors of society. The best project ideas are to be selected by the jury against pre-set criteria – large companies versus small and medium-sized companies and thematic variety. The aim of the selection criteria is on the one hand to provide as wide-ranging a spread of structural and thematic approaches as possible so that companies can demonstrate the wide range of areas that exist in biodiversity management. On the other hand, projects which can serve as models will also be considered.
